Director / Producer

After earning an MFA in stage directing and working three years in advertising, Nattawut “Baz” Poonpiriya moved to New York to study graphic design at Pratt Institute. This period of Western immersion, combined with his Thai roots, shaped his unique cinematic voice.

He returned to Thailand to direct the international sensation “Bad Genius” and the acclaimed “One for the Road.” Known for blending diverse cultural perspectives, Baz focuses on creating “mind-blowing” stories that transcend geographical boundaries to connect with a global audience. He founded BASK to make films on his own terms, beginning with “Gohan.”
