BASK is a collaboration by Baz Poonpiriya,
a Thai film director of global mega-hit movies
like Bad Genius, and GDH with the goal
to support Thai filmmakers in reaching
international audiences.

Like its name, BASK revels in the ordinary pleasures of cinema and its power to tell stories
that can travel across borders and languages. We aim to produce meaningful content
that reflects our human condition, speaks to the world we live in,
and that everyone can truly enjoy.

After earning an MFA in stage directing and working three years in advertising, Nattawut “Baz” Poonpiriya moved to New York to study graphic design at Pratt Institute. This period of Western immersion, combined with his Thai roots, shaped his unique cinematic voice.

He returned to Thailand to direct the international sensation “Bad Genius” and the acclaimed “One for the Road.” Known for blending diverse cultural perspectives, Baz focuses on creating “mind-blowing” stories that transcend geographical boundaries to connect with a global audience.

Vanridee Pongsittisak graduated from the Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University. She started off as a producer for the successful horror ‘4Bia’ and has continued producing many renowned movies ever since: ‘Phobia 2’, ‘Hello Stranger’, ‘Pee Mak’, and ‘Bad Genius’, to name a few.

Vanridee oversees most aspects of a film’s creation, from conception and writing to marketing. She now serves as a head producer and script development director for GDH.
